Do I need an account?

No. Taskae is complete and free offline, and nothing is gated behind signing in. An account exists so your data can follow you to a second device.

Does signing in upload my data?

No. Signing in establishes who you are and moves nothing. Data only moves when you switch sync on, and the app shows you exactly how much before it does.

What happens if my subscription lapses?

Sync stops. Your data stays on the device, readable and editable, exactly where it was — nothing is taken away or hidden.

I never received my confirmation code.

Check the spam folder first, then use "Send another" on the confirmation screen. Codes expire after five minutes.

Can I export my data?

Export and import are on the roadmap. Until then, sync is the way to get your data onto another device.
