About Taskae

Most task apps are either a flat list that forgets why anything is on it, or a project tool heavy enough that maintaining it becomes the project. Taskae is an attempt at the middle: enough structure that a task can explain itself, little enough that you can keep it up during a week that goes wrong.

The structure is deliberate. An objective is something you want to be true. A goal is a piece of it you can finish, or a habit you can keep. Tasks and lists are the work. Every screen answers one question, and Today answers the only one that matters most mornings.

It works offline because that is where phones actually are — on the underground, on a plane, in a building with bad signal. There is no account to create and nothing to sign in to before you can use it. Sync exists for people with more than one device, and it is the thing the subscription pays for.

Taskae is built by one person, in the open about what it does and does not do.
